DASHBOARD BUILDING

SEO Reporting Dashboard That Writes Client Reports for You

Report day costs agencies hours every month: pulling numbers from Search Console, copying them into a slide deck, formatting, and sending. The SEO reporting dashboard I build does that work automatically. Live data from Google, your logo, and a finished PDF sitting in the output folder before your workday starts.

An SEO reporting dashboard removes the manual step between Google's data and your client's inbox. The dashboard pulls clicks, rankings and traffic from Search Console and GA4 every night, builds the report on the schedule you set, and exports it in the format each client expects.

What the report output looks like

The SEO dashboard report covers what clients actually ask about: organic clicks, average position, which pages drove the most traffic, which keywords are moving, and how this month compares to last. The numbers come from the Google Search Console API and GA4, not from screenshots or a manual export. The report file is a finished document: your logo, your brand colours, the client's site name on the cover, and all figures formatted and labelled without you touching them.
Three export formats come out of every report run: PDF for sending to the client or saving to a shared folder, Excel for anyone who wants to work with the raw numbers, and CSV for feeding data into another tool. All three generate from the same data pull so the numbers are identical across formats.

Scheduling and sending

The nightly data pull happens automatically every night without any input. Reports generate on the schedule you set during the build: weekly on a specific day, monthly on a specific date, or both. If you want the monthly report emailed to a client list on the first Monday of each month, the dashboard handles that. You can also open the dashboard at any time and generate a report on demand for any date range the database holds.
My own branded report templates have been running on this schedule for long enough that I have more than 16 months of historical data behind each one. The year-on-year comparison that shows up in the monthly report is always available, because the database keeps every nightly pull rather than discarding it after Google's cutoff.

What the client provides

  1. 1. Google Search Console access for each property to be tracked.
  2. 2. GA4 viewer access for the matching analytics properties.
  3. 3. Logo file and brand colours (primary and secondary hex codes).
  4. 4. Report schedule: which day and frequency each client receives their report.
  5. 5. Email addresses for each recipient, and whether the report goes directly to the client or to you first.

Proof

I run branded report templates on my own SEO dashboard. They produce PDF, Excel and CSV exports in both a light and a dark brand template. The data behind them comes from the same Google Search Console and GA4 API that Google uses in its own interface. An independent audit compared the numbers in the reports against live Google data for the same periods, and the numbers matched.

FAQ

SEO reporting dashboard questions.

It produces weekly and monthly reports in three formats: PDF for reading and sending to clients, Excel for anyone who wants to sort or filter the numbers, and CSV for importing into other tools. Each report pulls live data from Google Search Console and GA4, applies your logo and brand colours, and lands in the output folder ready to send. You do not touch the data or the formatting.
The nightly data pull runs automatically every night. The weekly and monthly reports generate on a schedule you choose. If you want them sent by email on the first Monday of each month, that is how they go out. You can also generate a report on demand from the dashboard at any point.
Yes. The report templates use your logo and the brand colours you provide. The dashboard includes both a light and a dark version of the template so you can match whichever visual style fits your clients. The branding sits in the template, so every report that generates from that point forward carries it.
The standard report covers organic clicks, impressions, average position and click-through rate from Google Search Console, plus sessions, users and top traffic channels from GA4. Keyword-level data shows which search terms drove clicks for each site, and the report flags any major movements from the previous period. The exact metrics are set during the build to match what each site's owner actually reads.
No. Reports can go out by email as attachments, with no login required on the client side. If a client also wants to log into the dashboard and check numbers between reports, that access can be set up separately. The two are independent: a client can receive reports without ever logging in.
Looker Studio produces a live web link, not a file. The SEO reporting dashboard exports actual PDF, Excel and CSV files that can be downloaded, forwarded and stored without a Google account. It also keeps historical data past Google's 16-month cutoff, so the year-on-year comparisons in the report are always available. And because the dashboard lives on your own domain, the client sees your brand, not Google's.
